Jim Acosta's new book, aptly called "The Enemy of the People", will pull back the curtain even farther on a dysfunctional White House and a dangerous President
Jim Acosta: A Senior White House Official Told Me 'The President’s Insane'
May 26, 2019

Remember when Donald Trump flipped out on Jim Acosta and then directed an intern to yank away the microphone from him? Or when the White House revoked Jim Acosta's credentials? Well, things are not going to get any better after Acosta's book drops on June 11th, if some of the quotes coming out are true.

The Guardian is reporting that in the book, aptly titled "The Enemy of the People", CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta shares some pretty disturbing stories about a dysfunctional and chaotic White House. In one weird story, Trump had Hope Hicks call Acosta to praise him for being “very professional today” and said that, "Jim gets it".

Just prior to that totally random phone call, Trump had publicly called Acosta "fake news" and "very fake news".

In public, clearly, Trump likes to push the wildly popular term "fake news" while privately complimenting the very reporters he bashed. Unprofessional and disgraceful.

In another section which will shock no one, Acosta recounts a conversation with a senior White House official who told him bluntly: “The president’s insane.” In another part, Acosta states that a “former White House national security official” told him that they were not sure whether Trump had been been “compromised” by Russia.

The Mueller report was released in April and Trump quickly claimed vindication, although the evidence in the report did not necessarily support that assertion, especially in regards to obstruction of justice. Trump has ramped up his nasty rhetoric, calling the press the 'enemy of the people' repeatedly and Acosta even says that an "unnamed Trump surrogate" told him, "You guys are dead now,’” apparently referring to the mainstream media.

I expect an insane flurry of tweets and random comments from Donald Trump in the coming week and would not be surprised if Sarah Huckabee Sanders tries to revoke Jim Acosta's press pass again. Dictators do not like being mocked, especially by the press.
