Cari Champion, a podcaster and broadcaster on ESPN, was arguing with Dr. Lauren Wright, who is MAGA and transphobic, about trans athletes.

Wright condescendingly said, "I think a lot of people care about these common-sense issues. I think for a lot of people, women's sports is really important, and women are disadvantaged physiologically [compared] to men, and that's common sense."

Champion was having none of that bullshit. You could see Champion get angry as she smacked the smirk off Wright's face. "I don't think that any of these people think they want to protect women. You know why they don't want to protect women? Because they don't give two craps about the Epstein files."

But Champion wasn't done. She finished with this, "All of these people yelling that they want to protect women in sports are not honest. It's disingenuous."

Champion is, of course, absolutely correct. The right doesn't give a damn about anything or anyone but their big-money supporters, and they drive a wedge between people so they can do whatever they want while the people are distracted. Champion lived up to her name that day, and we need more people like her, willing to call out the bullshit.
