After having no proof that Hillary Clinton used the Birther issue in the 2008 election, Rep. Marsha Blackburn told CNN's Don Lemon, she was never told the Birther issue was going to be a topic on the show.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn joined CNN last night to discuss Donald Trump's Birther issue, and when she couldn't give any facts to support her claim that Hillary used "Birtherism" in the 2008 election, she claimed she was unaware the birther topic was going to be discussed.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn is the latest Donald Trump supporter to go on cable news and tell America that the "Birther" issue is dead because Trump said so.

Don Lemon asked her, “Why are so many people on Trump’s side repeating these total fabrications, Congresswoman?”

She replied, “Well, I think you can look at the fact that the issue is done.”

As the segment continued, Lemon asked Marsha to give an example of Hillary asking for Barack Obama's birth certificate, Jennifer Granholm jumped in and said, “Not by Hillary Clinton. Name one comment by Hillary Clinton. Name one public comment by her campaign. There was no public comment by her campaign. This again is another lie.”

Rep, Blackburn shrugged it off by saying Granholm was "in the tank" for Hillary.

Don Lemon did not let the Congresswoman off the hook, he said " “She’s actually stating a fact, Congresswoman Blackburn. Facts do matter. Is there one instance that you can espouse or show of Hillary Clinton publicly pushing the birther issue?”

Rep. Blackburn stumbled in reply and said, "I, you know, I'm sure I could if I had known we were going to discuss this."

Blackburn said she could probably find something in South Carolina in 2008 if she looked hard enough.

Don Lemon shot back, "Well, I think that's one of the reasons the producers told you that you were coming, to discuss the Birther issue, so..."

Rep Blackburn replied, "I didn't have that issue."

This is a flat out lie. I've been on many TV, radio and Internet shows over the years and the producers always tell you what the topics are. CNN would never sandbag a Congressperson, especially on a basic discussion over Trump's Birther controversy.

How embarrassing for her. I sure would love to get on the Trump surrogate email list.

There are no facts to support Trump or Rep. Blackburn's lies.

The end.
